About the Artist:

Mason Harper is a trans masc makeup artist, photographer, and recent architecture graduate whose work explores the intersections of built environments, identity, and performance. Inspired by the absurdity of access control, Mason's photo series critically examines the politics of transness and the public restroom with a goal to interrogate the ridiculously theatrical ways we perform gender within the bathroom and expose the subconscious fears that shape how bodies are policed within public space.
