Shellyne Rodriguez

Shellyne Rodriguez is a Bronx-based American artist, educator, writer, and community organizer whose work explores identity, community, history, displacement, and resistance. Born in 1977, Rodriguez works across drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, ceramics, and text. Her practice focuses on documenting people and places that have developed strategies for survival in the face of erasure and oppression.
