Rohan Zhou Lee is a writer working across science fiction, fantasy, poetry, nonfiction, and journalism. Their work moves fluidly between genres and forms, spanning short and long-form journalism, profiles, reviews, and personal essays.
Their honors include the SFWA Nebula Conference 2020 scholarship, participation in the Avengers of Colour mentorship program where they were mentored by Terry J. Benton Walker, and the 2024 PEN American U.S. Writers Aid Initiative Grant. In 2023, they became the first mixed-race Black Asian admitted to the Open City Fellowship for Journalism at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop.
