Mica Ringo

Mica Ringo is a writer, speaker, and advocate known for speaking out against spiritual abuse and high-control evangelical systems, particularly through their early criticism of Teen Mania Ministries. Raised in a deeply religious environment in Florida, Ringo became one of the first voices to publicly challenge the organization’s practices, describing experiences of emotional manipulation and authoritarian control.

They later appeared in the documentary Shiny Happy People: A Teenage Holy War, where they reflected on their upbringing and the long-term impact of religious indoctrination.
