Memo Salazar

Memo Salazar is a Mexican‑born, Emmy Award–winning filmmaker, writer, director, and producer based in Queens, New York. He has worked across a wide range of media and genres—**from music videos (including for Public Enemy) to educational films with Sesame Street, and collaborations with theoretical physicist Brian Greene—bringing creative storytelling and socially engaged content to television, documentary, and children’s media.

Beyond media, Salazar is an activist and community organizer. He co‑chairs the Western Queens Community Land Trust (CLT), an initiative focused on creating community‑owned land and affordable space in New York City, and has been recognized for his leadership with fellowships and community awards.
