Emre Sahin

Emre Şahin is a Steering Committee member of the Emergency Committee for Rojava (ECR), a grassroots organization building international solidarity with the Kurdish freedom movement and the democratic experiment in North and East Syria. A researcher, writer, and translator, his work focuses on Kurdish politics, social movements, democratic confederalism, and grassroots organizing. He has conducted extensive field research across Rojava and has written on the region's revolutionary model, with a particular focus on direct democracy, women's liberation, and community self-governance.
